Arrival from Coimbatore airport after direct drive to Ooty, Upon arrival check in at hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight at Hotel.
After breakfast, proceed to local tour of Ooty and Coonoor. In Ooty, you’ll visit Government Botanical Gardens. The 160 year old garden stretches over 55 acres of land and has some typical tree species, such as cork tree, paper bark tree and monkey puzzle trees - a tree which a monkey cannot climb, 20 million year old fossilized tree, an Italian-style garden bordering a clear pool, a vast variety of flowering bushes and plants in myriad hues, and fern house with an extensive range of ferns and orchids. The second destination at Ooty will be Ooty Lake, an artificial water body which adds beauty to Ooty’s tourist destinations. Doddabetta Peak is the highest peak of Nilgiri Hills and located at the junction of Eastern and Western Ghats. Other destinations are Rose Garden, Pykara Lake, and Mini Garden. Later, you’ll proceed to Coonoor for more sightseeing venues. Here, you’ll visit Sim’s Park, a beautiful park housing a rare species of Eucalyptus, Acacia, Pinus, Cinnamomum etc. In the evening, you’ll return to Ooty for night stay.
Morning After Breakfast Check out Hotel, later depart to Kodaikanal - “Princess of Hill Stations”. Enjoy the beautiful scenic sights and waterfalls throughout the drive. On reaching Kodaikanal, a quick check in at the hotel will be made. Freshen up and the remaining time will be at your disposal. Overnight at Hotel.
Morning After Breakfast an excursion of Kodaikanal. The first attraction will be the star-shaped Kodaikanal Lake, the most admired place in Kodaikanal which draws visitors in numbers. You can enjoy boating in the lake and capture views of other places surrounding the lake. Next, you’ll visit Bryant Park, situated close to Kodaikanal Lake. The park has a great collection of trees, shrubs, cactuses; thus becoming a rainbow of stunning flowers at season time. Other tourist destinations include Coaker’s Walk, Telescope House, Green Valley View, Pillar Rock, and Bear Shola Falls. Drive back to the hotel and spend the free time in shopping. After breakfast leave for Madurai. The city has many nicknames to its credit, like City of Junctions, City of Jasmine, Temple City, City that Never Sleeps and City of Four Junctions. On your arrival at Madurai, you’ll make a check-in at the hotel and get ready for a city tour. You’ll first visit the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple, a beautiful piece of architecture dedicated to Lord Shiva. From centuries, the temple has been a major attraction for all tourists. Visits to Gandhi Memorial Museum, Koodal Azhagar Temple, Thirumalai Nayak Mahal, and Mariamman Teppakulam will be made next. Overnight at Hotel.
Afterbreak fast, Drive to Chettinad. Check in listed hotel. Chettinad is famous for its tourist attractions -the traditional palaces and mansions that will help one to understand the simple, yet classy life of the wealthy Chettiar community. Some of the interesting tourist attractions in Chettinad are the museums-the Kamban Mani Mandapam and the Kaviarsar Kannadhasan Mani Mandapam, both built in honor of late poet-laureates. The latter has a museum with an amazing collection of artefacts -traditional jewellery, clothing, huge copper vats and grain bins. Visit to Devakottai , where the streets of Devakottai afford one the pleasure of walking through a typical Chettiar lane lined with old mansions, the most famous being Periya Minor's Veedu. The Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Devakottai is famous for the 108 statues of Vinayakar. Overnight stay at Chettinad.
After breakfast leave for be driven to the next destination of the tour - Rameswaram, one of the holiest centres in India. Once you reach Rameswaram, a quick check in will be followed by a local city tour. Rameswaram has many stories knitted in its history. It is believed that Lord Rama visited Rameswaram before going to Sri Lanka to save his wife Goddess Sita. Rameswaram is famous for one of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines and is admired for its glorious corridors and enormous sculptured pillars lining them. Ramanathaswamy Temple, Dhanushkodi, Agnitheertham, and Gandamadana Parvatham will be other highlights. Overnight at Hotel.
Morning proceed for Kanyakumari, also referred to as Cape Comorin, located at the southernmost tip of the Indian Peninsula. When you arrive at Kanyakumari, you’ll make a check-in to the hotel and move out for a local tour.
